after a few minor adjustments, house is mine. *POING* i will sign the lease this week (two years!) and have deposit to him by the end of the month. he agreed to leave all appliances, pay the water bill (he has this crazy kentucky blue grass growing in the yard and it needs major watering. i'm not payin' for that!) and i have first right of refusal ( Read more... )

the best part about this dept store job is that i don't go in til noon or one o'clock some days. this awesome benefit is eventually offset by the cold reality of being stuck there til nine pm, however, at this moment in time i'm sticking with the positives, because there are many ( Read more... )

so, two days under my belt @ the dept store. it's interesting, and the women i work with are really nice. but(you knew that was coming, right?), it's reeeeeeeeally boring sometimes. i am used to much faster paces than this, and i find myself circling the dept like a shark for much of the day. i am also a straightening & re-merchandising maniac. okay, got all my stuff into the storage unit post-torrential monsoon downpour that seems to have occurred nowhere else in the city except over my storage facility. it only lasted about half an hour and then the sun cracked thru the clouds. but, at one point there was a river running thru the driveway that topped out at about knee high at its peak.
